You know what I would love? To have 11 races in the Race Wheel. With one more race - preferably a good one - some of the logic of the game would change in interesting ways. Every race would then have two opposite races instead of one. The slayer skills could be uniformly oriented versus one of those race which means that every race will be at an advantage versus one of the opposite races, and at a disadvantage versus the other.
So, if you put a new good race to the left (anti-clockwise) of Knights, then the opposing races will look like this: Elves: Daemons, Dark Elves Knights: Dark Elves, Undead New Race: Undead, Orcs Dark Elves: Elves, Knights Undead: Knights, New Race etc Then Slayer skills could be: Elves: Elfslayer Knights: Deathslayer New Race:Orcslayer Daemons: Elfslayer Dark Elves: Manslayes Undead: New Race slayer etc Although I'd also like to see some further re-alignment of the races. First and foremost (which would come as no surprise to those paying attention to my sig) Dark Elves and Daemons should switch places on the wheel, because Undead and Daemons should be the "ultra-evil" races, situated on the bottom of the wheel and as far away from the good races as possible. Dark Elves and Orcs are also evil but not as purely as Daemons and Undead. They are more wannabe evil. If we'd do this without adding a race then Daemons and Elves would become opposing races with corresponding slayer skills. It feels logical to me, at least. I'm also thinking about swapping positions on the top section of the 11-race wheel and I might get back to this in another rant. I know adding a race to the wheel will never happen, but I felt I needed to get this off my chest. One can still dream, right? |
