Hey there,
Maybe some of you guys still know my nick from the i2 forums (when there still was an i2 ). But in any case, I'm a fan of the series since, well, since I am playing games on the PC, I guess And I just recently figured out that i2 is no more, and therefore hopes for additional Warlords games are small, to put it optimistically. Of course, this made me very sad and I immediatly started searching for an active forum for i2 refugees. But this forum is actually the only one I found that is still active. And it only covers Warlords, not WBC. Does anyone know of other active (!!) forums for Warlords and/or Warlords Battlecry? If there are any other, it would probably be a good idea to merge all those scattered places. Also, does anyone know who currently owns the rights to Warlords / Warlords Battlecry / PQ? Is it Firemint? |

The Battlefield WBC forum is pretty much alive: archiv.the-battlefield.com/forum/index.php?showforum=40
They are still developing mods there. Steve owns rights to all Warlords IPs. |

TheSheep,
I remember you from the I2 forums. Firemint definitely owns all I2 content. That means PQ and all it's siblings. I am not 100% sure about the Warlords and WBC franchises since those were developed before I2. Steve owned the rights to those personally. I know when he sold I2 to Firemint that he was excited because the owner of Firemint was a big Warlords fan and he hoped together they might develop something in the future. Then his wife's illness progressed rather rapidly and he went into retirement to spend time with her. KGB |

Poor Steve and Janeen,, I really wish them the best.
But hey, IF Firemint would some day develop a Warlords game, maybe, finally, someone comes up with a browser/MMO game that has some actual depth and is not vastly inferior to the "old" offline games I know there are at least some (very few, tbh) mobile games that are actually very good. So, not all hope is lost, I guess. |
