Hi all,

Does anyone (KGB? ) know how it works when a hero stack with a Life Drain +1 item faces a hero stack with Horn of Stone? (no games mentioned ) Obviously it ought to even out as if neither had an item of that nature, but perhaps that isn't the case?

I.e.
- Horn of Stone +1hp is applied first - meaning that 4hp units in the "Horn of Stone stack" would end up with only 3hp after Life Drain has been applied

- Life Drain is applied first - meaning that 1hp units in the "Horn of Stone stack" would end up with 2hp after Horn of Stone has been applied.

Also, would it make any difference whether Life Drain or Grp Hits come from items, units or spells?

Lord Snow,

First of all, the Horn of Stone is +2 hits, not +1. So that and a Lifedrain +1 item don't cancel each other out.

Now more importantly, Lifedrain is calculated *after* all group hits items/spells etc are done. So if you reach/go over +4 hits the excess are discarded and the result is you end up with -1 hits due to lifedrain.

Examples:

A) Elf Infantry (1 hit). Add +2 from Horn to get to 3 hits. Add -1 from Lifedrain to get 2 hits total. What you'd expect.
Heavy Infantry (2 hits). Add +2 from Horn to get to 4 hits. Add -1 from Lifedrain to get 3 hits total. What you'd expect.
C) Green Dragon (3 hits). Add +2 from Horn to get 4 hits (rounded). Add -1 from Lifedrain to get 3 hits total. Not what you'd expect.
D) Dwarf Runner (4 hits). Add +2 from Horn to get 4 hits (rounded). Add -1 from Lifedrain to get 3 hits total. Not what you'd expect.

Thank you for the thorough explanation.

I was thinking of the Horn of Stone' (+1 grp hits) in Myth - momentarily forgetting that the real Horn of Stone has +2 grp hits.

Onslaught, perhaps Horn of Stone' in Myth should be renamed to avoid confusing it with the true, legendary Horn of Stone?
